The message of the gospel is plain and simple: turn from your sins and trust in Christ alone to be reconciled to God. Though many have tried to twist this wondrous truth, Paul reminds us in Romans 10 that this starts in the heart, by believing that God raised Christ from the dead, and overflows into a confession of faith that affects every part of our life for the sake of the gospel. However, this is not the end of the story.
Once we are saved from our sin, we are then called to share this good news with others. By doing this, we exalt Christ, love others well, and are storing up for ourselves treasures in heaven by living in obedience to Christ’s commands to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20).
