2 Corinthians 4:16-18 has become one of, if not my favorite passages in all the Bible. The glorious truths that it contains are so deep that I wish I had more time to discuss them than I did. Regardless, I did my best to show why there are three reasons why a Christian should not lose heart in this life, and these are:

  1. We have a spirit of faith.
  2. Though our bodies are wasting away, our faith and confidence in Christ is being renewed day by day.
  3. All of our suffering is meaningful.

This is all done by looking at the “unseen” thing that Paul refers to in verse 18, which is the “eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison” of verse 17. We must keep our eyes fixed on this, otherwise, we will not make it to the end.
