Resolved: To Honor Christ Whether by Life or by Death
Continuing through Philippians at Charlestown Road Baptist Church, I cover 1:18b-26 in this sermon.
In verse 18b, we see Paul’s future expectation of joy. In verses 19-20, we see a resolution that Paul makes, which is the ground, or reason for his future expectation of joy. In verse 21, we see the ground of the resolution itself, and finally, in verses 22-26, we see Paul’s explanation and contemplation of his resolution.
I'm a student at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary studying for a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry. I aspire to go into pastoral ministry, and I have a passion for calling people of all ages away from the easy, shallow, and hollow version of Christianity that has sadly become mainstream in America today and instead, calling them to holiness, and to experience and enjoy Christ through his Word above all other things.
